Anna Byars is an artist based in Columbia, South Carolina, whose work explores transcendence through immersive fields of color and layered printmaking processes. She holds a BA in Studio Art and Art History from the College of Charleston and an MFA from the University of South Carolina. Rooted in repetition and material sensitivity, her practice invites slow looking and contemplative engagement, creating spaces that feel both expansive and intimate. Her work has been exhibited at the Southern Graphics Conference, Sawtooth Visual Arts Gallery, the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art, and the ArtFields Festival & Competition. Alongside her studio practice, she teaches at the University of South Carolina and Columbia College.
